Medication Support for Mental Health

Mental health medications can play an important role in helping people live fuller, more balanced lives. At NeuroRx Institute, we provide thoughtful medication consultation and management tailored to your individual needs.

We help with medications that address:

  • Depressed mood

  • Anxiety and excessive worry

  • Attention and impulse control

  • Mood instability

  • Irritability

  • Sleep concerns

  • And other mental health needs

Our approach focuses on careful evaluation, personalized planning, and ongoing monitoring to ensure medications are helpful and appropriate.

Conditions We Commonly Address

NeuroRx consultations may be helpful for a wide range of mental health concerns, including:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Adult ADHD

  • Mood instability

  • Irritability

  • Psychosis

  • Sleep problems

  • And other mental health conditions

A Thoughtful and Safety-Focused Approach

At NeuroRx, we prioritize safe and sustainable treatment. We do not prescribe medications with higher risk profiles, such as:

  • Benzodiazepines

  • Ketamine

  • Other medications with high risk for dependence or serious adverse effects

However, we frequently work with individuals who are currently taking these medications and would like support in safely reducing or transitioning to more stable, long-term treatment options.

Our clinicians can help you shift toward safer and more sustainable medication strategies for anxiety, attention, mood, and related concerns.

Special Focus: Adult ADHD

Adult ADHD is common and often underdiagnosed. Many adults struggle for years with attention, organization, and impulse control without realizing that effective treatment options exist.

NeuroRx psychologists provide comprehensive evaluations to determine whether ADHD may be contributing to your difficulties. When appropriate, we develop medication plans designed to improve focus, organization, and daily functioning.

Our integrated model allows for thoughtful diagnosis and ongoing medication management — without the difficulty of navigating multiple providers or long waitlists.

Inclusive, Culturally Sensitive Care

At NeuroRx Institute, we are committed to providing care that respects the full diversity of our clients’ identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences. We work with individuals from a wide range of cultural, racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we strive to tailor treatment in ways that are thoughtful and culturally informed.

We are proud to provide gender-affirming care and welcome individuals across the gender spectrum. Our clinicians aim to create a supportive, respectful environment where clients can discuss their identities, experiences, and treatment goals openly and safely.

NeuroRx is committed to being a safe and inclusive space for all individuals, including those who identify as LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or from historically marginalized communities. We believe that effective mental health care must be grounded not only in clinical expertise, but also in respect, understanding, and compassion.

Our goal is to ensure that every client feels heard, respected, and supported in developing a treatment plan that aligns with their values and needs.

Coordinated, Integrated Care

At NeuroRx Institute, we believe that the best outcomes occur when mental health care is coordinated and collaborative. As requested by the client — and when appropriate — we coordinate care with your primary care provider (PCP), psychotherapist, and other members of your treatment team.

Founded by psychologists, NeuroRx was built on the belief that psychopharmacology works best when integrated with psychotherapy and whole-person care. Medication is most effective when it is thoughtfully aligned with your therapeutic goals, life circumstances, and broader health needs.

With your permission, our clinicians can:

  • Communicate with your psychotherapist to align treatment goals

  • Coordinate with your primary care provider regarding medical considerations

  • Share recommendations to ensure continuity of care

  • Collaborate with other providers involved in your treatment

This integrated approach helps ensure that your care is cohesive, thoughtful, and focused on your overall mental well-being — not just medication alone.
